| Can you say 'Rebuilding Year'? With the economy the way it is, and with the team owners preparing for some sort of lockout in 2011, I think attendance will be down severely. And dammit, with Jake and Hoover and Peppers and Kemo and Lewis and Diggs and Johnson gone, I'm gonna hafta get new jerseys! |

Go ahead and purchase a Beason jersey. I bought mine a couple years ago during his rookie season. I know he's going to be here for sometime so I feel I should get my moneys worth out of it. :-) _________________ Click Here For ===> |

I hardly beleive that this is the begining of a rebuilding process. It is just a prodct of the business With or Without the cap....Generally speaking the over 30 players are all at risk to being cut. Organizations tend to want to spend their money on the young guys. Jake got out played and lost his spot. Peppers was all about the greed...Kemo too big and heavy to trust his legs. Diggs should be replaced by Conner. Landon Johnson didn't do a whole hell of a lot last year. Hoover was definately one of my all time favorite Panthers. But the fact is, the Panthers snatched Tony Fiammetta in the fourth round.
But with this sudden youth movement...It does make you wonder about kasay(40) and Baker(31). |

Yeah, I don't see how Kasey survived the cut. He can't get it past the 10 yard line even though he's still a good FG kicker most of the time. But, it definitely is a youth movement and if you think about it, if there is a lockout in 2011 it's a process that might be too late then, after these guys have 2 more years on them. Remember after the '96 season where the once great team suddenly seemed old and slow? _________________ Start it.....finish it....celebrate it.....forget it.....repeat it. |

Derill Without question youth movement but that does not mean a comeplete rebuild
Now on draft day if we see that we are trading smith, deangello, beason, t. davis for a bunch of future draft picks...Then I would definately be ready for a rebuild...
Yesterday afternoon Sirius NFL radio was discussing some sort of rumor that the team is up for sale? I caught the tail end of the conversation...I am sure a caller generated the discussion. There was Zero facts discussed to back this up. the only clues the show offered was JR's health and the fact that his two sons left last off season. |

Jerry Richardson worked too hard for too long to turn around and sell this team. And what would he do with the stadium he owns? His son's had a problem getting along, but he still has a wife and daughter. This team will be in the Richardson family just like the Steelers are in the Rooney family. _________________ Start it.....finish it....celebrate it.....forget it.....repeat it. |

I think you saw the team shed some over priced players and some under performers. They weren't getting the bang for the buck they needed and so they've trimmed. Nothing surprising to me and in at least a few cases long overdue. _________________ "Planning, Performance and Execution: No Excuses"
